Our National Account Directors lead the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location retail customers, along with large e-commerce businesses.  Assigned to 3-5 key accounts and targeted prospects, the National Account Director is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.

Our National Account Director leads the sales process; representing the full range of Comfort Research products to assigned account base, working cross-functionally to drive company initiatives, and works closely on the planning cycle, ensuring both company and customer’s expectations are being met.

This position will be based in the corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI.  Some travel required for customer meetings at their corporate offices and for assigned tradeshows.  The National Account Director reports to the Senior Director of Sales.

 

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Work with existing key accounts, along with prospecting new strategic business
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet both company and customer expectations
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Pro-actively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
  • Pro-actively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • You will work with both e-commerce & brick n’ mortar retailers

Here’s what we need you to have

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent Military Experience
  • 3-5 years of Retail National Account Sales, or Sr. Retail Buyer
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work within team concept
  • E-commerce Sales experience preferred (Amazon, Walmart.com, Wayfair)
  • Sales experience in Consumer Goods a plus
