Comfort Research partners with Regional Refresh of Cut Off Youth Center standard

This past April, the Cut Off Youth Center put the finishing touches on it’s new 3 room renovation and gym area that provide health and wellness programming for local youth. The two-month renovation was revealed on Thursday, May 28 with Comfort Research donating FUF chairs for the children to relax in. “We’re proud to partner with the Cut off Youth Center and refurbishment of their renovation to help today’s youth stay active and fit”, Chip George CEO of Comfort Research and Ambassador of Awesome said. DOGS FIND COMFORT IN DONATED BEDS standard

Dogs and people are finding life a little more comfortable at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary with the generous donation of 25 pet beds donated by area manufacturer, Comfort Research. The donation of various sizes, styles and filling of pet beds were given by the company to provide a homelike experience for the 90 abandoned dogs that reside at Mackenzie’s. “Comfort Research is pleased to share our pet-friendly beds with the dogs at Mackenzie’s,” shares Chip George, co-founder of Comfort Research. “I am very aware that the dogs at Mackenzie’s are only there until they are adopted, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a comfortable place on which to sleep or cuddle until they find a permanent home”. Friends of the Library Movie Night a Great Success gallery

Marshall County Memorial Library’s new Friends of the Library group’s first event: a free showing of the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” 7pm May 2nd at the Pocket Park on the square was a great success. The group formed two months ago, is planning community events and projects to benefit Marshall County residents and extend the reach of the library out into the community. Comfort Research was proud to be involved in the event, donating 25 bean bag chairs to make seating in the outdoor venue comfortable. This year it’s 170 chairs, one for each child. Grand Rapids Plant Zero Landfill Certified standard

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Comfort Research becomes Zero Landfill in an effort to become Zero Waste Certified by 2015 Comfort Research, a Grand Rapids Michigan based manufacturer of furniture and soft seating has achieved their sustainability goal for 2014 to be Zero Landfill. This accomplishment is a direct effect of diligent recycling efforts, lunchroom and bathroom composting programs and a reduction of waste program in which materials are sent to an incinerator to be converted into electricity. So far because of Comfort Research’s sustainability efforts, 198,840 lbs. (99.42 tons) have been saved from the landfill and 52,195.50 KWH of electricity created from un-recyclable materials at the Grand Rapids Facility alone.
