STEVE JOHANDES
“I first encountered Chip and Matt at an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year dinner back in 2003. Even though I didn’t meet Chip and Matt personally until 4 years ago, I have followed their story over the years and have always enjoyed it. It is a story that mirrors in so many ways the growth, innovation, and challenge that I have experienced at Empire. Although I am a finance guy by trade, I have migrated to the global technology side of our business in recent years and hope to continue to bring my experiences managing tremen- dous growth at retail “big-boxes” as well as independent customers from a financing,
working capital, technology and infrastructure stand- point to continue to help support Comfort Research in its exponential growth. Most importantly however, the culture that I saw developing in the story in 2003 at that E&Y dinner, I still see today 11 years later and have no doubt that it will still be going strong an- other 11 years from now. I think of this old quote from Joe Namath (he was a famous quarterback for you younger guys and gals) sums it up best..... “When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.”
I Comfort Research’s culture is direct reflection of this quote!”
